Where do I find these?

Both numbers are printed on your RC. We only need the last 5 characters of each. Electric vehicle? Use the motor number.

We check these with Vahan, the transport department's vehicle register. Nothing is charged yet.

How it works

One plate, five steps

You do the first three in a few minutes. After that, we keep you updated until the plate is on your vehicle.

  1. Enter your vehicle

Registration number plus the last 5 characters of chassis and engine. We confirm them with Vahan.

  2. Pick a centre and time

Choose a fitment centre near you and a two-hour window that suits you.

  3. Pay securely

Check the total, then pay on our payment partner's secure page. You see every charge first.

  4. We make your plate

Your plate is made, quality-checked and sent to your centre. You can follow each step.

  5. Fitted and recorded

The centre fits it at your appointment and the plate's code is recorded in Vahan.

Before you start

Three things to keep handy

  • 1

    Your registration number

As printed on your registration certificate (RC).

  • 2

    Chassis and engine numbers

Only the last 5 characters of each. Electric vehicle? The motor number instead of the engine number.

  • 3

The mobile number linked in Vahan

We send a one-time code to the number registered for your vehicle. If it is out of date, update it first and we will explain how.

Your plate

We pick the right colour for you

The colour of your plate follows your vehicle's use and fuel, as set by the national scheme. You never have to choose it: we read it from Vahan and show you before you pay.

Help

Questions owners ask

Do I need an HSRP for my vehicle?

High Security Registration Plates are required under Rule 50 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules. Vehicles made on or after 1 April 2019 normally get theirs from the dealer at sale. This website is mainly for older vehicles that do not have one yet.

Last dates and penalties are set by each state, so we do not quote them here. Please check with your state transport department.

What do I need to book?

Your registration number, the last 5 characters of your chassis and engine (or motor) numbers, and the mobile number linked to your vehicle in Vahan so we can send a one-time code. You pay online at the end.

The mobile number in Vahan is old. What can I do?

The code goes to the number the transport department has on record for your vehicle, so we cannot send it anywhere else. Update the number first through the Vahan service of the transport department (parivahan.gov.in) or at your RTO, then come back. We have a short guide in the booking step.

My plate is lost, stolen or damaged.

Choose Replace a lost or damaged plate. You tell us which plate (front, rear or both) and what happened. Depending on the reason, we may ask for a police report (FIR) or a photo.

What is the colour sticker?

It is the third registration mark that goes on the inside of the windscreen. Its colour follows the vehicle's fuel type. We work it out from Vahan and show it before you pay.

Can I get it fitted at home?

Where it is available, you can choose fitment at your own address for an extra charge. Enter your pincode in the booking step and we tell you straight away.

What should I bring to the centre?

Your vehicle and your booking confirmation. If anything else is needed, your confirmation will say so.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Yes. Open Track & manage with your order number and the mobile number you booked with. The cancellation window and refund rules are shown to you before you pay.
